WILMINGTON, NC (STARNEWSONLINE.COM) -- Melissa Gott, whose ascent in New Hanover County politics abruptly collapsed under skepticism about whether she owned a permanent residence there, re-registered to vote in the county last week only days after the Board of Elections purged her from the voting rolls.
Gott registered Nov. 1 at a One-Stop Voting site at Cape Fear Community College’s north campus, listing 602 Chestnut Street in Wilmington as her domicile.
