What a waste of human energy

Years ago I worked at Toys R Us. I noticed that a lot of store management got heir shopping done between Sept and October. I asked why and they said simply - can't get the time off in Nov and Dec and selection and price are just as good now if not better.
I was curious so I started doing some checking. Selection was definitely better in October and I did note that the so called sales were 25% to 45% off.
So the difference between a regular sale and a door buster is about 10% to 20% more but when you look at the story above you see that BB had only 27 of those TVs.
Black Friday has become a psychological tool used by retailers to get you to spend money you ordinarily wouldn't spend and the limited supplies of door busters makes Black Friday a gigantic bait and switch operation.
My shopping is done. I got things at a great price, I had plenty of selection to choose from and I have paid for it all already.
No mess and more importantly no stress....
