READ MORE:

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) – The holiday season is upon us, which means it’s time to head over to the Cameron Art Museum for the Festival of Trees.

The Festival of Trees exhibit features 27 trees decorated by volunteers and sponsors from all over the Cape Fear region.

The highlight of the exhibit is a 15-foot-tall remembrance tree where exhibit goers can leave messages to loved ones.

"The tree's are beautiful, they're humorous, they're quite thoughtfully put together, they're very personal to the organizations missions and the festival is peppered and supported with throughout with performances by local musicians and we have a theatre performance on Thursday night,” says Anne Brennan, executive director of the Cameron Art Museum.

Tickets to the Festival of Trees range from $12 dollars for adults down to $6 dollars for children and are available at the door.
