It's truly sad to see that people still carry such ugliness in their soul against another race. Many feel that African-Americans should forget about what happened in the past...how and why should we? The 1898 riot destroyed black owned businesses, those people still have relatives alive today, their businesses burned, ran out of town, thrown out of elected seats here in Wilmington, no to forget are steps for repeating. I suggest research of history online at www.unc.edu
