Carolina Beach Town Council holds special meeting

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) -- The Carolina Beach Town Council held another special meeting Tuesday night to support town services and to discuss filling openings on the board and a new town manager, following resignations earlier this month.

The three remaining Board members say they have received several applicants and are on track to fill open board positions.

“Council will take a look, each individual councilman will get a copy and we'll take a look at those people who have applied.” Councilman Bob Lewis told WWAY. “We're hoping by the Dec 11 Council meeting we'll take a vote and appoint two people at that time based upon a feeling that each individual has. We would like to have a majority vote for each individual to be approved.” Lewis said.

Council still urges any interested citizen to apply, but you better hurry, the deadline is this Friday, Nov 30.
