Let's set the record straight. Foodstamps are not "entitlements". They are handouts. Social Security and Medicare are entitlements, meaning that those who paid for them by working and paying taxes are "entitled" to the benefits. Those on Medicaid, foodstamps and a myriad of other government funded programs neither worked nor paid for what they are getting, hence they are free handouts to which they are not entitled.
