Meteorologist Tim Buckley visits Hurricane Sandy damage

JERSEY CITY, NJ (WWAY) -- WWAY Meteorologist Tim Buckley will always be a student of weather, and he never misses a chance to study what he loves doing most.

He's taking some time away from work in New Jersey for a conference. He's getting the opportunity to see first hand some of the damage Hurricane Sandy caused.

"The impacts are still being felt here as well. There are some trees down," Tim told us via Skype. "I was talking to some folks who said the trains have just come back on service and their homes have been flooded, so the impacts are lasting and there are some lessons being learned as well."

Tim will speak at a TEDx conference for Johnson & Johnson Wednesday. He'll back here co-hosting Good Morning Carolina Friday.
