595 students in new school in Porters neck
574 students in replaced Blair
574 students in replaced College Park
1743 students in new or replaced schools
The article says we're over capacity by 2500 students
2500 - 1743 = 757
In other words we're still short a very large school building in capacity for students.
We still have population growth in this area, in spite of the recession. Now I know that the overpopulation is not in one area or in one grade so we need to add student capacity to some other schools. Blair is off Market and just south of the Porters Neck new school so I believe the population in that area is growing more rapidly than other areas. Why not add 100 students to Blair and the new school and then do an addition to Pine Valley and Anderson elementary Ashley and Trask High schools?
