Please be advised that Mr. King entered a plea of guilty to False Statement on Application for Insurance, a Class 1 misdemeanor, pursuant to NCGS 58-33-105. He did not plead guilty to Insurance Fraud, as the caption incorrectly states. That offense was dismissed by the State, primarily because the insurance company was not willing to state that it was due any restitution from Mr. King. Again, the caption of the article, and the first sentence of the article are both factually incorrect. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
