Using your logic then we should all be issued our own nukes because the military has them.
This is the fallacy with the 2nd amendment
Back then the ONLY weapon they had capable of destroying/killing more than one person was artillery.
No machine guns
No automatics
No nukes
No smart bombs

We have outgrown the 2nd amendment as written.
I'm sure the founding Fathers would have written something FAR different had they had the weapons we have developed.
