Using the logic of the day - if you have all the fancy weapons you can and all the soldiers you need you will not eliminate that third world terrorist because he's got evil in his heart.
Politicians have never seen a tax cut they didn't like and pursued them far too hard.
All the while they never curtailed spending.
But to say that now we have a spending problem not a taxing problem is disingenuous. We are under taxed thats for sure considering what we WANT to spend money on.
But if all departments are to suffer then across the board cuts should be considered to include Medicare.
The Bush tax cuts were temporary. They were proposed that way and passed that way. They should expire. At least $2T of our current debt can be attributed to those cuts alone. Now if Bush had cut spending to go along with those cuts I'd be saying something else but he never cut spending. Not once.
Not one Republican President has in modern times nor has a Democrat.
