The number of traffic deaths caused by drunk drivers is a crime. Ask the relatives that must identify the mangled bodies and I imagine they would classify it as A VIOLENT CRIME.
B M shouldn't hide behind the old "2 beers" with dinner. According to the website below: 2 beers over an hour dinner for a person weighing 180 lbs = blood alcohol content of .02 (well below the .08 limit). It takes 5 beers in one hour for a 180 lb person to hit the magic .08 BAC. It would take 4-5 glasses of wine in an hour to go over the .o8 BAC.
These are the people that we must get and keep off the road, so the rest of us are safe.
