you can kick the revenue higher than the White House occupant's inflated ego.
But without significant spending cuts, the problem will not be fixed.
If memory serves me correctly, they did not sell War Bonds during the Southeast Asian conflict. Nor did they sell them during Bush 1's foray into Desert Storm. Should have considered that for the most recent Iraq excursion as well as Afghanistan. Good idea, had they done it.
And to withdraw from Afghanistan, I saw a report in the Washington Post that the troops must destroy all material and equipment; donate it to Afghanistan; or incur $5 Billion to ship it home.
