It wasn't just the urinating on a dead combatant. To wuote:

Each of these charges is serious in it's own right but dereliction of duty? Failure to require the wearing of equipment? These would get him court martialed by themselves. If one of those Marines had been injured while NOT wearing his gear without an ironclad excuse this guy would have been sent packing already.
