Why would a family of 4 pay an extra $100 per ticket you ask? Convenience my friend. Once you factor in gas, which can easily average $50 each way, plus parking which is around $8 per day, plus that extra meal your family is going to want to eat since you have had to leave for the airport 3-4 hour early, you really aren't saving very much. Trust me I have tried flying my family in and out of myrtle. Furthermore, if you compare USAIR and Delta fares, Wilmington is often cheaper than MB. Getting a friend to pick your family up at ILM, not having to pay for any parking, and getting home 10 minutes after you arrived at the airport is priceless.
