To label people who seek a non-violent approach to life issues as clowns surely attests to the violence we seem to uphold in this society. The issue, as presented by St. Brendan Church, evolves from a sense of morality. It does not, in any way, impose religious doctrine on the state. It simply asks the state to act humanely, morally, and non-violently.
