I can see protecting the beach front property from hurricanes, but protection from sea level rise?
If the sea level rises at Kill Devil Hill its gonna raise the Albermarle and Pamlico sounds the same height. So a sea level rise at Bald Head results in the intracoastal rising the same height.
They are all interconnected.
The only thing Bald Head does is maybe stop a few waves from building near the mainland shores.
It doesn't stop hurricane storm surge
or sea level rise from "climate change"
And it probably changes the erosion patterns....
Of course ANYONE who builds close enough to the water to get damage from this has GOT to be crazy.....
