Unemployment benefits do not come from tax payers but from employees and employers. The federal govt and states administer the program. It is because some employees are laid off unvoluntarily. They went to work everyday and through no fault of their own they were fired or layed off. They have to consistently look for other jobs inorder to recieve these benefits. But that may take time. Cutting unemployment only benefits corporations not individuals or taxpayers. We will pay more in costs in welfare, and crime will increase. The governor is looking out for the rich corporations and not taxpayers.
Cutting unemployment means more people on welfare
