By the way...Easter 2013 is March 31st...so look out folks!
We all know, as history tells us, that road construction around here never goes as planned. An April 2013 dead line is probably meant to pacify...but road construction projects are pretty much on the drawing board here every day of the working week for DOT...henceforth...never completes on projected schedule. Anyone remember the Military Cutoff delays...3rd Street down town...Seagate...Cape Fear Bridge closings all screwed up recently?
They should have started building another bridge last October next to the Wrightsville Beach existing bridge...and today's delay's would have been accepted better...I think. A goal being reached for islanders, in other words. Take some of that Parking Meter cash and invest W.B.!
Out going bridge sign reads..."Thank You For Visiting Tourist"...Primary (oncoming) bridge sign reads..."Welcome To Wrightsville Beach Locals...Now Leave!".
Sorry...no sympathy here :-(
