I know the man that was killed and I do not know why he was on a moped (maybe saving money on gas) but he has a license as well as a vehicle and a couple of motorcycles. Even if the 18-wheeler did not feel the impact, he (and all drivers) when passing someone on the side, should check to see that the person is still there after clearing them. I know that it was dark, but he should have seen his headlight, and if he did not see it, then he should have known that something happened. My father is also a truck driver and has been one for over 20 years, so I know all about truck driving/drivers and there are some truck drivers out there that are not considerate of other drivers.
Also, everyone needs to quit downing the man and pray for his family. There is now a little girl that has to grow up without her father and a family that will be mourning the death of their son/uncle/cousin.
Moped does not = dui/drunk
