I believe that mopeds should have the same requirements as an automobile has to have - tags, insurance, etc. Although they have the reputation as "liquor cycles", many are turning to mopeds for the convenience and for the gas mileage. With that being said, if they are allowed to run on roads, especially highways where people are driving at faster speeds, then they should be required to be registered just like an automobile is.
If I have an accident with one - their fault - and they are not covered by insurance, who pays? I do.
