Undercover investigation results in arrest of heroin trafficker


NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- The New Hanover County Sheriff's office wrapped up an undercover investigation that resulted in the arrest of one man for trafficking heroin.

31-year-old Antonio Antwan Bradley was arrested yesterday after detectives made several controlled purchases from Bradley. Narcotics detectives searched his home and found 138 bags of heroin, digital scales and a .40 caliber handgun.

Bradley was charged with trafficking heroin, possession of firearm by felon, PWISD heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining and dwelling.

The bags of heroin, which were stamped with a red star, have a street value of more than $2,500.

Bradley is in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $100,000 secure bond.
