Actually Dep. Cherry is right in some cases the sovereign citizens tend to recognize the sheriff as being the highest form of law in the county. They do tend to listen to the sheriff more so than the police. It has nothing to do with blue lights. They feel that the sheriff is of higher authourity than policeman.
