If he was under the influence of booze first responders would have noted that. EMS would probably not have taken part in a cover up if it was blatant.
If it was drugs - they would have shown up in a tox report at the hospital - but, if it was just prescription Rx for something then this officers medical info is protected under HIPPA just like yours or mine would be.
My only question is - this was a single car accident - did lack of training play a part? I would assume they routinely do a tox screen for all accidents involving LEOs - and if no influencing factors are found in that tox screen then it's NOT released to the public.
Do we really need to know if that LEO needs or uses viagra?
