Once you take an oath to "uphold", their isn't a need to submit a statement of choice words from some selected national group to solidify your position. You either have integrity or you don't! Reminds me of the movie "Mississippi Burning". I once heard that "paper will lie down and let you (politicians) put anything on it". That certainly is solidarity on the part of Brunswick County Commissioners and the outstanding sheriff. And you call this Brunswick Counties finest!
