I would normally consider the cities that host Olympiads to be "world" cities. New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and cities of that stature. Charlotte is not what I would consider in the same league as those cities. Not a criticism, because I think CLT has a lot of things going for it. I just don't see them as an Olympic city.
