As a citizen of Columbus County for the past 71 years, I have known RC and his father and the rest of his family, and I must say they are good people and have done lots for this county.
RC has worked hard for Columbus, one of the poorest counties in the state, and he brought jobs here and made life a little easier for a lot of people.
He and his father have given hundreds of thousands to charities. Back in the 1970s when my niece was injured in an auto accident (a drunk driver plowed into her), RC paid her medical expenses, and he also gave my son and daughter-in-law money for gas to travel back and forth to Duke hospital when both of them were unemployed. How many politicians would have done this? Not many.
Does RC deserve the award? Hell yes. He's a good man no matter what others say about him. And who gives a damn about his love life or anyone elses.
Indeed He Does Deserve an Award

Congratulations RC for a job well done.
