I wish

My knees were good enough to allow me to run a 5K and then a plunge into the cool Atlantic waters. The cardio workout and increased body temps then the plunge is an absolute joy to experience. It's like going from sauna to ice bath. Biking could get me a cardio workout but its still hard on the knees.
Once you do it a couple of times its really enjoyable in a sick sort of way........
It sure beats just jumping in the ocean on Jan 1 - which I've also done but is kinda blase......
BTW - make sure your heart can withstand this type of activity before you try it. I raised a couple of eyebrows when I asked my cardiologist about doing this a few years ago (before the knees went bad on me). I did however pass the test so he let me do it...
