I think the booms that have been coming from behind Myrtle Grove middle school was someone shooting off a mortar. Probably just the baseline charge exploding in the mortar with no actual projectile... I live behind the school and heard the same thing a few weeks back on a couple different nights. I'm pretty sure it's a mortar that someone built at their home to shoot off fireworks with.
