Yes guest1022 they do work under the direction of the AG. But that doesn't mean that the AG can't appoint an arms length investigation since the subjects of the investigation are leo's and the thoughts of conflict of interest will certainly arise. That ain't gonna happen I know. It's just like when a police dept's internal affairs investigates claims agains officers. It's a joke.
