What does the sale of alcohol have to do with drunk driving? Plenty can have a drink or glass of wine without it making them want to go out and break the law----By driving drunk---guess what? Not everyone who has a drink does so for the purpuse of getting drunk! So the sale of alcohol isn't the problem. The problem is the Law breakers who --in most cases are addicted to alcohol or drugs--getting in their cars and driving. If the drunks would stay in the privacy of their homes and pass out there instead of behind the wheel problem solved. For the innocent public anyhow.
The issue is, the ones caught drunk driving this weekend or anytime need instant jail time. What ever happened to locking them up over night to "dry out"? Of course if it is a 2nd or more offense within a couple years they need at least a couple months in prison.
Perhaps the taste of prison will be enough to save our loved ones lives in the future. Drunks. make it easy and just wallow in your dwellings while drink. leave your car parked.
