I cannot see "how" this event had enough harvested "Local" oysters for 30K when the Oyster Havest season OPENED on Oct 15th.. Ask Carson Varum, He is a oyster dealer in Supply/Varnum town N.C. Those BIG pretty oysters came from the Gulf of Mex... I should know My Father attended the event.. NO LOCAL OYSTERS.. If there were any,, they were just a few.. IN ADDITION... Have you EVER heard of ANYONE getting sick from LOCAL NC OYSTERS? Or Just the ones from down south.. I digress..
