Stillman, LaRose lead Hurricanes past Canucks 3-1

RALEIGH (AP) -- Cory Stillman and Chad LaRose scored and the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Vancouver Canucks 3-1 and snapped a two-game losing streak. Cam Ward stopped 19 shots and Ray Whitney had an empty-net goal and an assist. Rod Brind'Amour had two assists for the Southeast Division-leading Hurricanes. Carolina gave Vancouver its first road loss of the season and first loss in four visits to the RBC Center.
