WPD looks for trio accused of stealing security systems

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police are looking for help identifying three people who allegedly stole items from Sam's Club at 412 S. College Road.

On April 6 at about 1 p.m., police say the trio stole two Uniden security systems. The theft is felony larceny from merchant, because, police say, the man in the group deactivated the alarms by removing the items from the boxes. Investigators say the two women acted as lookouts and provided distractions. Police say the older woman put the systems in her purse and left the store without paying.

Anyone who can identify any of the people in security camera photos is asked to call the Wilmington Police Department at (910) 343-3600. Information also may be submitted anonymously through Text-A-Tip. Enter Tip 708 and the information; send to CRIMES (274637).
