I live in Wildwood Village, and speeding is a chronic problem in this neighborhood. We have been re-annexed into the Town of Shallotte. City water was installed which made the County responsible for maintaining the road. They should also be responsible for painting lines on the road, and putting up speed limits along with much needed stop signs. On another note, teach your kids some street smarts! My seven year old daughter has enough sense to play in her own yard. Many of the kids in this development skateboard, roller blade, and bike through the neighborhood. Unfortunately, they also don't get out of the road when a car driving the speed limit is in their path! Ironically, many of the speed offenders have children that chronically play in the road. Just my 2 cents
