Wilmington hosts Crime Fest 2007

If you love reading a good mystery novel Crime Fest 2007 is right up your alley. It starts Thursday at six p.m. No one will actually commit crimes at the festival. The seminar features authors of mystery, suspense and crime novels. More than two dozen authors came to town for the event. William Bernhardt is the keynote speaker. He's written more than a dozen novels and says it's eerie how some of his stories end up mimicking real life events. Bernhardt said, "I did a book called Perfect Justice a number of years back and it came out a year before the Oklahoma City bombings but it talked about hate groups and militias." Crime Fest is going on all weekend at the Northeast Library off Military Cutoff Road in Wilmington. There are a number of attractions at the festival, including a bomb demonstration by the Wilmington Police Department Friday morning. For more information visit the Crime Fest web site.
