Regardless of my personal religious beliefs, I agree with this decision. America was founded on the belief that anyone could come here and practice whatever religion they wanted; or lack thereof. People fled to America to avoid religious persecution -- sound familiar?
It is beyond ignorant to assume that everyone should read the bible. Everyone has to make that choice for themselves and it is not our place to force our beliefs on others. We are not here to judge others, for there is only one ultimate judge of our character.
I agree with this decision because it is an individuals right, given in the Declaration of Independence, that "all men are created equal" .. and have "certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness." It is not the courts job to uphold certain religious beliefs, but to be fair and uphold the beliefs this country was founded upon.
If your only argument that this decision is wrong is based on your personal religious beliefs, then you really have no argument whatsoever. It is not your place to judge others; stop being a hypocrite.
"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgement you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?"
