CHARLOTTE, NC (AP) -- Heavy showers and thunderstorms are continuing to cause problems in some North Carolina communities.

Caldwell County Emergency Management Coordinator Ken Teague says several roads in the northern part of the county were closed Friday because of flooding.

Teague says campers are being asked to leave a campground because of rising waters near a creek.

There were no reported injuries.

While National Weather Service meteorologists say the rain is easing, there's still concern about flooding in some communities.

The stormy weather is also taking a toll in other ways. The Carowinds theme park south of Charlotte was closed Friday morning when a tree fell onto power lines. It has since reopened.
