Mary-Louise Parker to film Hallmark movie in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Golden Globe-winner Mary-Louise Parker is coming to Wilmington to shoot a new Hallmark Hall of Fame movie.

The Wilmington Regional Film Commission says production for "Christmas in Conway" will begin Aug. 5. It will premiere on ABC and WWAY later this year.

Parker, who has won Golden Globes for her roles in the Showtime series "Weeds" and the miniseries "Angels in America," plays an ailing woman named Suzy Gainsborough, whose husband attempts to build a Ferris wheel in their backyard for the perfect Christmas present, as he proposed to her many years ago on one, according to Variety.
