FORT BRAGG, NC (AP) -- Jury selection is set to continue for a third day for the upcoming court martial of a US Army general facing sexual misconduct charges.

The Fayetteville Observer reported Thursday that four jurors have been seated so far for the Sept. 30 trial of Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair. A minimum of five are needed.

The process is complicated because under the military justice system the guilt or innocence of a soldier is determined by those of superior rank. In Sinclair's case, that means a jury of lieutenant generals and major generals.

Eight potential jurors have been excused so far because they either knew Sinclair, other jurors or witnesses in the case.

Sinclair has pleaded not guilty to eight charges that include forcible sodomy, indecent acts, violating orders and adultery.
