WWAY's 'Two-A-Days' roll along; Expanded '5th Quarter' starts Friday night

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The high school football regular season is not far away. Here at WWAY we're getting ready for our pre-season coverage. Our "Two-A-Days" high school football coverage is underway sponsored by Thorpe Landscaping. We thank them for their support!

We've also expanded "5th Quarter" with John Rendleman and Trot Nixon this year. As usual, the show starts around 11:15 p.m. on-air and online. Our online coverage continues with "5th Quarter Extra" from 11:35 p.m. to midnight. That means more highlights, more scores and more expert analysis. You can also ask Trot questions. Tweet them to @WWAYSports, and he'll answer some during "5th Quarter Extra."

We've listed a schedule below of pre-season previews that haven't aired yet.

Sunday, August 18
6 p.m.: Trask Titans
11 p.m.: North Brunswick Scorpions

Monday, August 19
6 p.m.: South Brunswick Cougars
11 p.m.: Ashley Screaming Eagles

Tuesday, August 20
6 p.m.: West Brunswick Trojans
11 p.m.: Hoggard Vikings

Wednesday, August 21
6 p.m.: Whiteville Wolfpack
11 p.m.: Laney Buccaneers

Thursday, August 22
6 p.m.: South Columbus Stallions
11 p.m.: New Hanover Wildcats

Friday, August 23
11 p.m.: Start of 2013 regular season. Check out WWAY's "5th Quarter" with John Rendleman and Trot Nixon.

Note: The 5th Quarter will start around 11:15 p.m. and run through midnight on wwaytv3.com The 5th Quarter will run from 11:15 to 11:35 p.m. on WWAY TV. That means you can watch the first part of the 5th Quarter either online or on TV. The final portion of the 5th Quarter can only be viewed on our website.
