Police investigating early morning home invasion in Wilmington


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Police are investigating after an early morning home invasion in Wilmington.

Dispatchers say the call came in just after 5 a.m., about a break-in at a home in the 100 block of Nash Drive.

They say no one was hurt during the crime, and added that detectives cleared the scene around 8 a.m.

Police say the suspects are described as a black male and a white male both between the ages of 20 and 25.

They say the black male was about 6' tall wearing a red hoodie and maybe a hat with dark pants and a bandana across the lower part of face and carrying a baseball bat.

The white male was about 5'6". He head was covered with a black hoodie or hat. He was also wearing dark pants and carrying a rifle, police said.
