Police warn of rash of car break-ins in Pine Valley


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police want to alert Pine Valley residents about a recent rash of car break-ins.

Police say they got reports of 10 break-ins in a 24-hour period from Saturday to Sunday on Bragg Dr., Breezewood Dr., Quail Court, Mockingbird Ln., Grey Oaks Ct. and Parkwood Dr.

The break-ins have occurred mainly around parking lots and open areas. Police say many of the vehicles were left open or unsecured. Peak times were between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Suspects took electronics, including GPS devices.
