This voting issue not only causes problems for the delay in school starting but has also shut down the after-school programs housed within the schools. Which means one of two things, you take an entire day off from work or you show up late and have to get off early because your kids can't stay for after-school. THEY NEED TO FIND SOME BIG SPONSOR TO PURCHASE AND DONATE LAND TO THE BRIGADE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB IN ROCKY POINT. THAT WAY THEY CAN REMAIN OPEN WHEN SCHOOL IS OUT, ON HALF DAYS AND WHEN SOMETHING SUCH AS THIS VOTING ISSUE ARISES. ALL THESE CORPORATE SPONSORS DONATE TO THE ONE IN NEW HANOVER. BUT I GUESS THESE BIG SPONSORS FORGET SOME OF THEIR EMPLOYEES RESIDE IN PENDER COUNTY.
