There goes food safety out the window,,,,

Eight hours with no power for the freezers and refrigerators. Do they discard the frozen items that have started to defrost, and the eggs, milk, and meat that were above safe temperatures?
Does the county health department / NC department of agriculture even know now about the temperature excursions?

I've seen Food Lion - yes, Food Lion - start tossing stuff after a few hour power outage.
