CFPUA: Water main break causes traffic impacts, boil water advisory

WILMINGTON, NC (CFPUA) -- Cape Fear Public Utility Authority crews are working to repair a water main break that may impact your morning commute.

Early this morning, the water main broke in the 4000 block of Market Street. Both westbound lanes of Market Street, between Princess Place and Barclay Hills Drive, are closed while crews continue working there.

A precautionary boil water advisory is in effect for CFPA customers both living and working on the north side of Market Street.

Crews are also going door-to-door notifying customers in those areas. Customers can also call CFPUA’s new Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Information Line at (910) 332-6500 for details.
