This news report could be interpreted by some people that illegal immigrants and higher crime are associated when every analysis indicates immigrants, including illegal immigrants, commit fewer crimes, especially violent crimes, than their US-born neighbors across all income levels. But any reporter that quotes the Center for Immigration Studies and fails to note they are a leading anti-immigration (legal and illegal) advocacy group, founded by the notorious group FAIR, is suspect. The innuendo that crime is something to fear from immigrants is plain backwards and reads like a talking point from the organized anti-immigration groups.
