Making Marines feel at home

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – For the third year in a row, Port City Java Owner Steve Schnitzler will help many Marines feel right at home, despite the fact many of them are spending Thanksgiving away from family for the first time.

He’s pairing area families up with Marines for a Thanksgiving meal and happy to report all of the spots are full and each family who signed up will host two marines.

Ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, Schnitzler is honoring troops by giving free cups of coffee to both active-duty military and Veterans today.

There’s no need to bring an ID, just let the employee serving you at regional Port City Java locations know you’re in the military, or served in the past, and coffee is on the house.
