WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Children's Museum of Wilmington made sure kids do not have to worry about missing the New Year's fun because of a bedtime. Even though 2014 is just hours away, some children rang in the New Year a little early. Seven-year-old Nicholas McNaughton says he could not wait to celebrate during the museum's New Year's Noon event. "I'm so excited for that, "he said, "because I get to throw confetti and stuff." He says making projects at each station is also part of his new year game plan. But he says his favorite part of the new year is what comes afterward. "Because I'm turning eight in a couple months after it," Nicholas said. Kids say there favorite part was throwing confetti at the strike of noon. Children also enjoyed making special crowns, yummy treats and of course playing throughout the museum. But if you missed out on the New Year's Eve fun, don't worry. There will be another New Year's Noon celebration tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
