WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Cape Fear Museum was transformed into a crime scene Saturday. Organizers say they created a plot where a piece of scientific equipment goes missing from the Learning Center. Kids of all ages then put their detective skills to use to solve a mystery of 'Who Dunnit.' They searched for clues, in the museum, that would lead them to the criminal. After they gathered the facts, folks presented their findings to New Hanover County District Attorney Ben David, who then made an indictment. Parents say this was a fun way to teach their kids right from wrong. "They always ask 'Mom how does a bad person get caught?' So there was a lot of clues that were given to us, to actually be able to search with them for the clues taught them a very good lesson, especially not to steal," said Jennifer Rojo. Once the group discovered who was the crook, New Hanover County Sheriff's deputies hauled her away to museum jail.
